Michael Sweeney
Coordinator, Bicentennial @The State Historical Society of Missouri
A Kansas City native, Michael Sweeney holds a PhD in American Studies from the University of Kansas and a master's degree in library and information science from the University of Missouri. He previously worked at the Kansas City Research Center as a staff historian and senior research specialist. Sweeney rejoined SHSMO in his current role in 2017 after a stint as director of collections at the American Jazz Museum in Kansas City.
